After having been asked to attend the Graduation/Awards later this month, then my subsequent refusal. Can’t stand the over-hyped glorification it involves. The Belfast Metropolitan College sent out my certificate in the post. To the wrong address. They weren’t to know but I had moved house recently and I received the cert this morning.
Happy with my grade, Distinction overall, in Computing & Systems Analysis. It was a tough slog, between training first thing in the morning, working all day then college two nights a week.
Not too mention the long, intense weekends trying to perfect code, then write it all up. We all have our trials and tribulations, so no point complaining. It was a valuable experience, that I am thankful for my Father, for fronting the enrollment fees.
It was all worth it though, having a qualification for my 10+ years of practical experience. Making it a hell of a lot easier if I ever need to move on or start a new career. Luckily for me the hard part was not getting the experience but working on my own free time. Now it is all over, I had thought of starting an artwork course, possibly in oils. That will have to wait, on standby, as I am getting married next year! Too the beautiful Rebecca Mills! All my focus and cash is being funneled to that goal now. It and other projects are on ice! Cant wait until June 2014! 🙂
Do not let the government tell us what we can do with the gift if the internet. We are becoming akin to China!

Seeing as I used to live in the area as a child (Killough), it will be very interesting to see all the buildings I used to play in as a nipper! Having watched the trailer, it highlights the beauty in the area itself. Will reserve judgment on the acting after watching it of course! 🙂
Brief description taken from a website below.
“The Shore,” a 30-minute film about an expatriate Irishman returning home for the first time in 25 years, won the Academy Award for live-action short film on Sunday night.
The win marks the first Oscar for director-writer Terry George, who was nominated for two features: original screenplay for “Hotel Rwanda” and adapted screenplay for “In the Name of the Father.”
The latter feature is one of multiple films by George, including “The Shore,” about the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Shot in the director’s native Belfast, the short stars Irish actor Ciarán Hinds as the man returning to the Emerald Isle.”

This man self proclaimed “Egypt’s Strongest Man” wants to fight a lion and expects to win…. Fair play…. good luck in your next life as a gazelle on the Serengeti plains! Loser.
Love it or hate it ( I love it), Marmite has just been banned in Denmark. What the hell is going on you may ask. Well its all down to fortified vitamins and an Denmark directive that has been pushed since 2004 in order to crack down on products that are actually good for you! Some are saying its only targeting outsider countries products and not their own. Discrimination? Crazy I know! I love it on some toast and strong cheddar cheese, melted under the grill. Delicious!
Seems now, that if I wanna have some and I ever visit Denmark I will have to smuggle it in or buy it on the Black Market…. lol
Finally someone worth a peace prize receives one, fair play to the Ozzies for giving one to Julian Assange of WikiLeaks! A damn sight better than the one given to Obama for the phrase ‘Hope’ that he coined.
Dr. Steve R. Pieczenik of the US Defense Dept., where he still works is willing to testify in court that Bin Laden was dead and that the attack on Iraq etc was a false flag.
“He died of marfan syndrome, Bush junior knew about it, the intelligence community knew about it,” said Pieczenik, noting how CIA physicians had visited Bin Laden in July 2001 at the American Hospital in Dubai.
This image is from the website below and basically what the groups intention to do is to spread knowledge and the influence of the “Book of the Law”. This received book, associated holy books and structured initiatory stages of personal development/study require a free and strong mind and encourages the personal development of each individual in order to discover their True Will.
